Who we are
The Recovery Lounge is a wellness and recovery lounge at Priory House, 17–18 Battle High Street, Suite 2 & 2A, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0AE. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at hello@therecoveryloungebattle.co.uk or on 01424 322375.
What we collect and why
Enquiries. When you send an enquiry through this website, by email or by phone, we collect the details you give us: your name, contact details, the therapies or packages you are interested in, your preferred dates and anything else you include in your message. We use this information to respond to you and arrange your visit, on the basis that it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with us.
Newsletter. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and use it to send you occasional updates from the Lounge. We do this only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
Health information. Before certain therapies we may ask about your medical history to make sure a therapy is safe and suitable for you. This information is collected at the Lounge, not through this website, and is treated with particular care.
We do not use your information for automated decision making or profiling, and we never sell it.
Who processes your information
We use a small number of trusted services to run the website and the business:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes enquiry form submissions.
- SumUp handles bookings and payments. Payments are processed by SumUp, not by this website.
- MailerLite manages our newsletter mailing list.
- Google provides the map on our homepage and the fonts used across the site. When a page loads these, your browser contacts Google's servers, which involves your IP address.
Some of these providers store information outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The embedded Google Map may set cookies from Google when it loads. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and arrange any visits, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Records relating to treatments are kept in line with professional and insurance requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for using it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised date at the top.
